Queency dan Santa

By Abi Himada

Saat sedang membuka-buka mobile phone untuk membaca-baca berita, tiba-tiba queency berujar: " Abi, I like Santa claus.."
Aku tercenung, posisiku memunggunginya. Aku lirik istriku, dia tampak kaget, menekuri lebih dalam macbooknya.
Lantas, aku balikan badan menghadap queency.. "Kenapa mbak suka santa?"..

Akhirnya, diskusi kami akhiri jam 11 malam.

Milad My Daddy, Abi Himada, Maitreya and Muhandas

I am not sure what is the meaning of our names, but my daddy said that our name contains our Prophet' Muhammad name in the different holy books from different religions.

How come you know dady? I am curious to ask him....

Welcome to my brother, Muhandas Elthamis Haroki

Friends, Queency and Adilla has a new brother now, Muhandas. He was delivered in Auckland, 6th of September 2017. We are happiest sisters to welcome him. We met him in her third day in hospital, because my father should accompany my mommy during the Caesarian operation in the first day and we should go to the AUT childcare on the second day.

I had to wake up in the early morning, 5.30 am on my mom's operation schedule. Adilla wake up first, then me. We went to toilet, and my mom prepared our food, toys and we were dropped to our neighbour room, Zainab Mom. She is very kind neighbor from Pakistan. She also has a baby and one daughter, Zainab, who is also my friend. Mom took pillow too to Zainab's room because everyone was still sleeping at that morning. My dad picked us up in the evening after my mom was a bit settle after her big operation. When my dad was arrived home, we ask our daddy, 'Abi, where is mommy'?
Yes, four nights without momy at home were painful, however, we were getting closer to my daddy, particulalry Adilla.

Tomorrow, we would go to AUT childhood centre, we should sleep now, abi said.

We woke up, and we did not see mommy at home. My daddy prepared everything and then dropped us in the chidhood centre and visited mommy in the hospital. In the evening, my daddy picked us up and went home. I missed my mommy and I wanted to see my little brother, Muhandas very much.

On the third day, we went to the hospital together. After arriving, I directly played with Muhandas, but Adilla was still strange with Muhandas. She did not want to hug Mommy, and keep to hug my daddy.  Time was going very fast, time to go home, daddy said. I was sad to leave my momy and my brother at the hospital, but a midwife would take care them. Momy said, she just need to push the button if she was not feeling well or need any help. So, no worries, Queency and Adilla could go home now, Mommy was fine here, she said.

On the fourth day, I wanted to pick up my mother today, I was feeling so happy. I wore a best dress and told to my daddy, we would welcome Muhandas today, we should clean this small room. Taxi was arrived 5 minutes after our order, and it took 10 minutes to go to hospital. I knocked my mother's room in the hospital, and hugged her and my brother. Are you going home today mom, queen asked?
We waited for a decision today, just wait....

Adilla is a bit strage with Muhandas, but I am happy to welcome my brother and sleep with him, sing some songs for him and wipe his head.

Momy, Abi, I call my brother Muhandas

Queency and Adilla check their teeth

Queency is very happy if we go to the dentist. After her mother delivered her brother, Muhandas, on 6th of September 2017 in Auckland Hospital, then her mother made an appointment for both kids. Initially, only Adila got the schedule on 2 October 2017, and Queency on November 16. Fortunately, the nurse of teeth want to check both of them in the same time.

It was very windy on this Monday, we went to the ARDS Ponsonby with Muhandas (4 weeks), Adilla (2 years 6 months) and Queency (4 years 2 months). Queency's Mom has to learn to walk after her third Caesarian Section. We got off the Inner Link Bus to the Ponsonby Clinic. After 25 minutes, we arrived and just let the receptionist know we were here with an appointment at 10 am.  The receptionist also phone queency's mom before this time to remind Adilla schedule.

Queency was happy and came to the clinic when a nurse called Adilla. Yes, she was very exciting and directly sat on the chair of dental clinics. Queency, it is not your schedule, Adila schedule, therefore, asked your sister to sit on the chair. Adilla kept crying, she did not want to do so, then Queency accompanied Adilla to sit together in the chair, nice sister.

Then, the nurse checked Adilla. Adilla need to be referred to Greenlane hospital for a further check-up, while Queency has good teeth. It was quite challenging not to tell them ' NO CANDY, NO CHOCHOLATE, and NO GUMMY', but the nurse advise the kids to do so. The time was now 10.30 am and both of them should go to their AUT childhood center. We decided to get on OUTER LINK BUS that stopped directly in front of the centre.

Interestingly, after we arrived home, queency remembered the advise and did not cry to ask their candy. Both of them keep eating banana and apple. Hopefully, "they will do the healthy diet for their teeth for the long term", Queen's father said.

We are family, queency said. Today is the first day to stroll together after challenging months of welcoming Muhandas in this world and of recovering Queency's mom. After a special month for Queency's abi to take care us for everything, to be a husband, a mother, a friend, a chef, a sitter, and a father at the same time. Thank you Abi for being so nice for us (SUAMI SIAGA).
